How Stripe Payments Work in Agency Handy — Full Transparency on Stripe Connect, Data Security, and Fund Flow

At Agency Handy, we know that payment security and accounting clarity are extremely important for our customers. Many platforms add unnecessary complexity or act as intermediaries in the payment chain — but we do not.

This post explains, in simple terms, how payments work inside Agency Handy, how your customers are charged, and how funds flow into your Stripe-connected account.

1. Your Stripe Account Is the One Charging Your Customer

Whenever a customer pays through your Agency Handy Client Portal (for proposals, invoices, subscriptions, etc.), the charge is created directly on your own Stripe connected account.

This means:

  • Agency Handy does not initiate the charge

  • Agency Handy does not receive the funds

  • Agency Handy does not become the merchant of record

  • Agency Handy does not act as a middle layer

You stay in full control of the payment relationship with your clients.

2. We Never Store Card Information — Not Even in Encrypted Form

All sensitive card details go straight from your customer’s browser to Stripe’s PCI-compliant servers.

Agency Handy does not:

  • store card numbers

  • store tokens

  • proxy card data

  • see the card data

Stripe directly handles the entire payment method lifecycle under your account.

3. All Payment Operations Run on Your Connected Stripe Account

When the system creates:

  • a Customer

  • a Payment Method

  • a SetupIntent

  • a PaymentIntent

  • a Subscription

…it is done inside your Stripe account, not ours.

We use Stripe’s standard stripeAccount: your_id header to ensure everything is isolated and owned by you.

4. Fund Flow Is Direct (No Intermediary Routing)

Here’s the exact flow:

Customer → Stripe (Your Connected Account) → Your Stripe Balance → Your Bank

Agency Handy does not hold funds at any stage.

There are no pass-through charges, no destination charges, and no separate charges & transfers.
Just direct charges, per Stripe Connect best practices.

5. Your Customer Records Belong 100% to You

When your client pays using their email:

  • If they already exist in your Stripe account → we use that record

  • If not → we create a new customer under your account

Their billing history and payment methods remain yours for the lifetime of your business.

6. No Hidden Fees or Platform-Level Processing

Agency Handy does not add any:

  • hidden processing fees

  • platform payout fees

  • settlement delays

  • statement descriptor changes

All fees come directly from Stripe according to your own Stripe plan.

7. Stripe-Compliance, Liability, and Accounting Clarified

By using Direct Charges under your own account:

  • You remain the merchant of record

  • You maintain full control

  • Your accounting stays clean

  • Agency Handy avoids unnecessary involvement

  • Liability remains with the connected account, as Stripe intends

This is the safest and most compliant model for multi-tenant SaaS platforms.

In Short:

Agency Handy does not touch your payments.
You charge your customers directly via your Stripe account.
Stripe handles the sensitive data.
Funds go directly to you.
